TOWN OF HAYWARD POLICE DEPARTMENT (2014-2017)

Chief of Police (2014-2017)

  • Responsible for managing Department’s annual budget.
  • Responsible for Department’s staffing needs.
  • Coordinator of the Sawyer County Highway Safety Commission
  • Member of the Sawyer County Child Abduction Response Team (CART)
  • Prepare and present safety presentations to community groups.
  • Regular patrol duties, including traffic enforcement, Certified Intoximeter operator,
    Certified radar operator.
  • Assist other agencies with calls for service.
  • Conduct investigations relevant to criminal and ordinance violations and preparation of cases for court.
  • Gather facts by conducting interviews collect evidence and observe activities of suspects for criminal cases.
  • Work closely with other agencies and district attorney in solving crimes.

CITY OF HAYWARD POLICE DEPARTMENT (1983- 2014)

Patrol Officer (1991-2014)

  • Regular patrol duties, including traffic, OWI and criminal law enforcement, Certified Intoximeter Operator, Certified radar operator.
  • Certified D.A.R.E. Instructor (2003-2013)
  • Conduct criminal investigations and preparation of cases for court.
  • Work closely with other agencies and District Attorney in the solving of crimes.
  • Conducted highway safety presentations to high school driver’s education classes.

Reserve Officer (1983-1991)

  • Regular patrol duties.

Reserve Sergeant (1983-1984)

  • Supervision and scheduling of Reserve Officers.
